Troubleshooting · How we test and maintain this guide
Ready means prepared in the tab
A ready result has passed the tool's preparation checks and can be previewed or saved. It is held temporarily by that page. It is not a statement that a file already exists in your Downloads folder. Similarly, Build ZIP prepares an archive, while Save ZIP starts the browser save action. The browser and operating system control where that final file goes.
| Visible event | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Ready row and working preview | The tab has a prepared audio result |
| Save MP3 or Save ZIP clicked | A browser save was requested |
| Completed entry in browser downloads | The browser reports the transfer as complete |
| File opened from the chosen folder | You have located and checked a local result |
In our browser regression, we triggered actual MP3, CSV and ZIP downloads, read the resulting local files and compared their bytes with the prepared outputs. That is stronger than checking that the save button exists. It still does not prove your browser's current download location or permissions, which the website cannot inspect.
Use the browser's record before searching every folder
- Leave the prepared workspace open. Do not refresh it while looking for the file.
- Open your browser's downloads view and find the newest matching entry. Check whether it completed, failed, was cancelled or is waiting for a destination.
- Use the browser's option to show the file in its folder, where available. Your configured destination may differ from the system Downloads folder.
- Check the saved filename, including any suffix added because a file with that name already existed.
- For a ZIP, check the archive itself before looking for extracted tracks. A downloaded ZIP does not automatically mean its contents have been extracted.
A search for the exact song title can miss a cleaned or numbered name. The filename shown in the ready row is a better starting point. For archives, the suggested name reflects the selected-track count. Your browser can still modify the final name, so compare the download time, size and destination rather than relying on one label.
If a save dialog is open behind another window, the action may still be waiting for you. If the browser reports insufficient disk space or a blocked destination, resolve that specific condition. Do not disable broad browser security settings to fix a missing file. The exact browser message is a better guide than repeatedly preparing the same audio.
Retry the save without repeating preparation unnecessarily
If the row remains ready and its preview works, you can request another individual save. For a built ZIP whose selection has not changed, use its Save ZIP link. Choose a recognisable destination and keep the browser download record visible until it completes. A second successful save may have a numbered suffix; keep both until you establish which file is complete.
If selection or naming changed, rebuild the archive first. If the page refreshed, closed or crashed, the temporary audio and old save link cannot be recovered merely by reopening the same URL. Check whether a completed download already exists before preparing again. This avoids confusing a new run with a file saved earlier.
For a large collection, save a critical ready track individually before trying another archive. A CSV export is useful for recording source links and statuses, but it is not a backup of audio. A small CSV appearing in Downloads does not prove the larger ZIP also arrived. Keep their completion checks separate.
Open the actual file you intend to keep
Play the local file in the application where you plan to use it. Confirm the expected title or take, approximate duration, beginning and end. For an archive, extract into a clean folder and compare selected entries with the included CSV. If the preview worked but the local file does not, retain both the visible message and the browser download status while investigating.
A support report should identify the save action, browser version, suggested filename, final destination status and any exact error. Do not send temporary blob addresses as if they were public download links; they belong to the page that created them and are not a portable recovery mechanism.
