Two options, different purposes
| Option | What the tool does | Useful when |
|---|---|---|
| MP3 | Converts a supported non-MP3 source to MP3 at 192 kbps in your browser. An existing MP3 source is kept without another conversion. | You want a familiar format for everyday playback. |
| Original | Keeps the available source audio encoding after any required playback processing. The file extension follows the detected container. | Your player or editor accepts the source format and you want to avoid an extra lossy encode. |
The Original result may be M4A or another supported format. It is the available playback resource, not a promise of an official WAV, lossless master or studio export. Both choices still need to pass the browser’s audio checks.
A different extension is not better audio
Converting to MP3 does not restore detail missing from the source. Re-encoding can change the sound and file size; 192 kbps describes this tool’s MP3 encoder setting, not the original recording quality. Keep a copy of an official source export when it is important to your workflow.
This version does not offer a WAV conversion button, stems, MIDI, covers, video or lyrics. Do not rename an M4A file to .mp3: changing the filename alone does not convert its contents.
Make the choice before preparing
Use MP3 for convenient listening and Original when you want to keep the available encoding. For a batch, choose the format before pressing Prepare tracks. Files already prepared keep their format; changing the selection does not retroactively convert them.
Try one song first if you are checking compatibility with an editor. If MP3 conversion fails, Original may avoid the encoding step, but it still requires a successful transfer and audio decode. See troubleshooting for the next step.
For commercial delivery, confirm the client’s file requirements and use the official Suno export required by your licence. A format conversion or ZIP manifest does not establish download permission.
